WASHINGTON, June 9 — The Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, established in July 2022 to investigate unidentified anomalous phenomena across air, space, and sea, released its Historical Record Report in March 2024. Volume 1 of that report reviewed U.S. government UAP investigations stretching back to 1945.
The findings were unequivocal. AARO found no evidence that the U.S. government or private companies had ever reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology. That conclusion directly undercuts years of speculation and unverified claims circulating in public discourse about secret programs handling non-human craft.
Strategically, the report serves to close a long-running chapter of suspicion. For decades, the question of whether the government held hidden alien technology has been a persistent undercurrent in defense and intelligence circles.
The AARO’s historical review, covering nearly 80 years of official investigations, was designed to settle that question with documentary evidence. What this signals is a shift in the Pentagon’s approach to UAPs. Rather than allowing the narrative to be shaped by leaks and unsubstantiated reports, the Defense Department has centralized the investigation under AARO and committed to transparency through its historical record.
