Pentagon Releases 2021 UAP Footage of Callsign Mission Over Unspecified Area

The Department of War has made public a video clip captured in January 2021 that shows an unidentified aerial phenomenon observed during a callsign mission. The footage was released under the PURSUE policy framework after being processed by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which worked alongside the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

The recording depicts a small, disc‑shaped object moving at considerable speed before executing a sharp turn and vanishing from the sensor’s view. It was gathered by a sensor platform operating at an undisclosed location. According to the file name, the event took place on January 3, 2021, and is catalogued as PR76 within the Department of War’s declassification series.

Analysis of the associated sensor data indicates that the object lacked any visible propulsion system and did not produce a heat signature, a characteristic noted in other UAP cases examined by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office. The accompanying report does not disclose the precise geographic coordinates of the sighting, citing operational security considerations.

It does note, however, that the platform was engaged in a routine mission when the anomaly appeared on radar and was subsequently tracked visually. The object’s trajectory featured sudden alterations in direction and velocity that surpass the performance limits of known aircraft. Analysts from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office have reviewed the footage and affirmed its authenticity.

The office explained that the video forms part of a wider initiative to declassify UAP‑related material under the PURSUE policy, which seeks to enhance transparency while safeguarding sensitive sources and methods. The Department of War stressed that no evidence of extraterrestrial technology has been identified in this instance or in any other declassified UAP investigation to date.

The release coincides with the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office’s ongoing review of hundreds of UAP reports submitted by service members. Under the PURSUE framework, the office may request additional data from the unit that originally collected the recording, interview the operators involved, and conduct further analysis of the sensor information. As of now, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office has not reached a conclusion about the nature of the object seen in the January 2021 video.

Looking ahead, the office intends to publish a comprehensive report covering this incident and other declassified cases. Personnel who possess relevant information are encouraged to come forward through official channels.

The Department of War also indicated that further declassifications are anticipated in the coming months as part of its continuing transparency effort.
